You are a trusted advisor to the Commerce team, influencing stakeholders and aligning solution design with commercial and operational goals. You champion the consistent application of architectural best practices, security standards, and automation across all engagements. You mentor and elevate the collective capability of your practice through knowledge sharing and active collaboration. You are accountable for the integrity, scalability, and resilience of solutions you deliver in highly regulated and critical environments.

What you'll do
Investigate and clarify functional and non functional requirements in collaboration with domain experts and business stakeholders.
Propose solution designs aligned with established application patterns, reference architectures, and client security mandates.
Evaluate and address performance, availability, disaster recovery, supportability, and data criticality constraints throughout the design lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with infrastructure, cloud, security, and data teams to refine target architecture and validate integration points.
Produce high quality architectural documentation including diagrams, architectural decision records, current state assessments, and future state scenarios.
Operate effectively in international contexts where fluency in English is essential for communication and documentation.
Leverage domain knowledge in transportation when relevant to address specific industry challenges and regulatory considerations.
Implement solutions within an agile framework guided by continuous architecture principles and lean thinking.
Drive the selection and configuration of cloud platforms, API management, event driven messaging, and integration technologies.
Champion the adoption of clean architecture, microservices, and micro frontends to enable modularity and long term maintainability.
Support the integration of legacy systems, master data management, and data platforms such as data lakes, warehouses, and analytics ecosystems.
Contribute to the broader architecture community by sharing patterns, tools, and lessons learned from completed initiatives.
Act as a subject matter expert during technical interviews and hiring processes to ensure quality and consistency of talent.
Engage in continuous learning to keep pace with emerging technologies, standards, and industry best practices.
Requirements
You hold a recognized degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related discipline with a strong technical foundation.
You possess a minimum of five years of hands on experience in solution architecture or a similar technical leadership role.
You demonstrate deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform such as AWS or Azure, including core services, networking, and security models.
You have practical experience with API design, integration patterns, and API management platforms such as Mulesoft or Kong.
You understand event driven architectures, messaging systems, and technologies such as Kafka, Solace, or Amazon SQS.
You are proficient in designing microservices based on clean architecture principles and modern frontend approaches including micro frontends.
You have a strong grasp of security principles, identity and access management, and data protection regulations relevant to enterprise systems.
You are comfortable working in agile environments and applying architectural governance in fast paced, iterative delivery contexts.
Nice to have
Previous experience in the transportation sector or with logistics and mobility solutions.
Familiarity with data integration tools, data science platforms, and business intelligence technologies such as Dataiku, Snowflake, Qlik, or DBT.
Knowledge of master data management strategies and legacy enterprise systems like SAP, Oracle, or EDI.
Experience contributing to open source projects or internal platforms that enable developer productivity.

This is a permanent, full time position.
Remote work is the default arrangement, aligned with Ippon's standard hybrid policy of three days in the office and two days remote.

Our Architecture Practice
