Ion is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to take on a leadership role within a key project for a strategic client in the asset management space. What you'll do

1. Lead a team of engineers on a critical project for a strategic client in the asset management sector.

Requirements

1. Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and managing project delivery in a professional services environment.

2. Strong background in full stack development with proficiency in both front end and back end frameworks.

3. Several years of hands on experience building digital products that have reached production in live environments.

4. Familiarity with financial markets and an understanding of the unique demands placed on technology in this sector.

5. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and translate business needs into actionable technical specifications.

6. Experience working in cross functional teams that include product managers, designers, and other engineering disciplines.

7. A degree in computer science or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

8. Track record of delivering high quality software solutions on time while maintaining clean and maintainable code.

9. Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables in a fast paced environment.

10. Experience with agile methodologies and iterative development cycles in a consulting or agency setting.

2. Knowledge of high speed automation and distributed computing systems commonly used in trading and investment platforms.

3. Exposure to enterprise UX design principles and digital distribution strategies within large scale financial organizations.

Skills & tools

1. Proficiency in modern JavaScript or TypeScript for building responsive and scalable front end applications.

2. Experience with back end frameworks such as Node.js, Python, or Java for server side development.

3. Working knowledge of relational and non relational databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar systems.

4. Comfort with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying and managing production applications.

5. Understanding of containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

6. Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and collaborative development workflows across distributed teams.
