What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain robust software applications using Java and related technologies, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement features that enhance user satisfaction.
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues, providing timely resolutions to enhance system reliability and performance.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
Mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow and develop their skills in software engineering.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential application to improve existing systems and processes.
Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and system architecture diagrams.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system scalability and performance.
Engage in Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure alignment with project goals.
Assist in the integration of third-party APIs and services, enhancing the functionality and interoperability of our software solutions.
Work closely with QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage for all software releases.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and related frameworks.
Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance applications in a collaborative team environment.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and DevOps practices.
Proficiency in database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL technologies, with experience in data modeling and optimization.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience in deploying applications in cloud environments.
Knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks, to facilitate full-stack development.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Previous involvement in open-source projects or contributions to the software development community.
Understanding of microservices architecture and experience in building distributed systems.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in software development.
