What you'll do

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for various applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and efficient execution.
• Collaborate with software developers to understand application architecture and design effective testing strategies that align with development goals.
• Design and implement testing frameworks that facilitate continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices within the development lifecycle.
• Conduct performance testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Participate in code reviews to provide feedback on testability and quality, promoting best practices in software development and testing.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and ensuring transparency in the testing process.
• Mentor junior team members in testing methodologies and automation tools, fostering a culture of quality within the team.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in software testing and automation, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with product management to understand user requirements and translate them into test cases that validate functionality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues identified during testing, working closely with developers to resolve defects efficiently.
• Implement and maintain test data management strategies to ensure the availability of relevant data for testing purposes.
• Contribute to the development of testing standards and best practices, ensuring consistency and quality across all testing efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, and experience integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile environments.
• Understanding of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI is desirable.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience in testing cloud-based applications.
• Experience with mobile application testing and tools such as Appium or Espresso.
• Knowledge of security testing principles and tools to ensure application security and compliance.
