What you'll do

• Provide comprehensive legal guidance on a variety of matters, including corporate governance, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the company's interests and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all business practices adhere to legal standards and internal policies.
• Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations that may impact the organization.
• Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs to promote ethical business practices.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, including negotiations and dispute resolutions.
• Advise on employment law matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, and compliance with labor regulations.
• Monitor changes in legislation and assess their implications for the company, providing timely updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal advisory role, preferably within the technology or intellectual property sectors.
• Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record of drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide sound legal advice.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in legal documentation.
• Familiarity with international legal frameworks and cross-border transactions is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience in the tech industry, particularly in software development or digital services.
• Knowledge of data protection laws and privacy regulations, such as GDPR or CCPA.
• Previous experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
• Membership in a state bar association is preferred.
• Multilingual abilities can be an asset, especially in languages relevant to the company's operations.
