What you'll do
Assess and remediate personal and social barriers that inhibit client success in community employment settings through direct evaluation and training.
Act as a liaison with employers, providing necessary training and support while consulting on employment-related issues to ensure long-term job retention.
Monitor assigned clients closely, acting as an advocate and facilitator for necessary accommodations and ADA-related requirements.
Comply strictly with all employer policies and procedures during assignments to maintain professionalism and trust.
Represent Hope Services with integrity in the community, fostering positive relationships with family members, employers, and funding partners.
Complete all mandated reports and documentation, ensuring case files are accurate and current while preparing for individualized service plan meetings.
Uphold agency safety and confidentiality standards rigorously in all community interactions and client engagements.
Develop and implement instructional plans and social skill training interventions independently while working effectively in diverse settings.
Adapt to varying work hours and locations as required to meet the evolving needs of contracting employers and client needs.
Perform detailed task analysis and time studies to support wage evaluations as required by the Department of Labor.
Act as a mandated reporter, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients is always the top priority.
Perform additional duties as assigned to promote the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
Transport yourself and clients to multiple employer locations as needed, demonstrating reliability and commitment.
Provide job-site training and intervention as assigned to help clients succeed in community employment roles.
Determine job training goals collaboratively with clients and employers to track ongoing success and adjust strategies as needed.
Requirements
Must possess a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, and have at least one year of related professional experience.
Maintain a clear driving record and hold a valid Driver's License to perform essential job functions.
Demonstrate the ability to understand and relate effectively to individuals with disabilities, their families, the community, and Hope Services personnel.
Show flexibility in scheduling work hours, locations, and types of assignments within the greater service region.
Possess strong observational, evaluative, documentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
Be capable of accepting supervision and working cooperatively as a team member with all Employment Services staff and clients.
Have the ability to teach good work habits and social skills to individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings.
Utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations and maintain excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
Exercise good independent judgment in all professional responsibilities.
Have basic computer knowledge to perform required documentation and communication tasks.
Perform all duties associated with time study development accurately and efficiently.
Show a strong knowledge and commitment to the principles and concepts of normalization in all practice.
Be flexible with scheduling and prioritization of tasks to meet changing demands.
Be willing and able to transport self and clients to multiple employer locations as required by the role.
