About the role
This role provides individualized services to HOPE clients to assess and remediate personal and social barriers that inhibit success in community settings. The incumbent may deliver job-site training and intervention for clients placed in community employment settings. You will work closely with clients and employers to determine job training goals and ensure ongoing success. This position requires strict adherence to agency mission and values while maintaining professional relationships. You will represent the agency in the community and act as a mandated abuse reporter at all times. The role demands independent work in the community to develop instructional plans and provide social skill training. You will ensure compliance with all agency, departmental, safety, and confidentiality standards.

What you'll do
- Provide needed supports to assure client success in employment placements through evaluation, training, goal setting, and follow-up services for successful job retention.
- Act as a liaison with the employer, delivering training and supports while consulting on employment-related issues to secure long-term employment success.
- Monitor assigned clients as a program advocate, providing referrals and assisting with accommodations and ADA-related concerns.
- Comply with employer policies and procedures while assigned to their locations to ensure seamless integration.
- Represent the Agency professionally in the community, maintaining constructive relationships with family members, employers, and funding sources.
- Complete all mandated reports and documentation, ensuring case files remain complete and accurate while preparing individualized service plans and conducting annual and semi-annual meetings.
- Uphouse agency and departmental safety and confidentiality standards in every interaction and documentation task.
- Operate independently in the community to develop instructional plans, deliver social skill training, and implement necessary interventions.
- Adapt to a variety of settings and assignments to accommodate evolving needs and requests from contracting employers, including fluctuating work hours and locations.
- Perform task analysis and time studies for wage evaluations as required by the Department of Labor.
- Accept the role of a mandated abuse reporter, ensuring client safety is prioritized.
- Execute additional duties as assigned to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
Requirements
- Hold a High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent, plus one year of related experience working with people with disabilities in a rehabilitation environment.
- Maintain a clear driving record and possess a valid Driver's License.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand and relate to individuals with disabilities, their families, the community, and HOPE personnel.
- Exhibit flexibility in scheduling work hours, location, and types of assignments across the greater service region.
- Show proficiency in observing, evaluating, documenting, and communicating both verbally and in writing.
- Accept supervision and work cooperatively as a team member with all Employment Services staff, clients, and employers.
- Teach good work habits and social skills to individuals with developmental disabilities across a variety of settings.
- Utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making scenarios, applying strong organizational and record-keeping abilities and sound independent judgment.
- Perform basic computer operations to support documentation and communication needs.
- Execute all duties associated with time study development accurately and efficiently.
- Commit to the principles and concepts of normalization in all professional interactions.
- Remain flexible with scheduling and prioritization of tasks to meet changing demands.
- Transport self and clients to multiple employer locations as required by the role.

There are no specified working hours, but the role requires availability to respond to varying schedules and locations as requested by contracting employers. Travel is required between multiple employer sites within the service region, and the ability to transport oneself and clients is essential.
