About the role
You will play a pivotal role within the Business Technology team, providing essential support across the Enterprise by designing and delivering highly secure, scalable, adaptable, and high-performing solutions. You will report directly to the Director and function as a key technical partner to product and technology teams, taking ownership of the full solution lifecycle from initial design through testing, iteration, deployment, and operational support. In this capacity, you will independently conduct thorough code reviews and act as a mentor, guiding junior team members toward improved design and the adoption of clean, standardized coding practices. You will leverage your expertise to make critical architecture decisions, balancing configuration against custom code to optimize long-term maintainability and business value.

What you'll do
- Build robust solutions in Salesforce.com using Force.com, APEX, Lightning Web Components, Web Services, and APIs to address complex business challenges.
- Provide expert recommendations on when to use configuration, code, or off-the-shelf products to meet requirements efficiently.
- Support cross-systems integrations by developing and configuring tools across the native Salesforce ecosystem and other cloud technologies.
- Partner with business owners to deliver tailored solutions that align with business requirements, create a superlative user experience, and drive tangible business value.
- Actively engage in planning and analysis of requirements, translating business needs into well-architected solutions that maximize the Salesforce platform and associated products.
- Analyze Salesforce technical debt, propose strategic designs, and implement solutions to improve system integrity and performance.
- Function as a technical lead by providing recommendations on configuration versus code to ensure optimal implementation strategies.
- Audit and document existing processes and technical designs, identifying clear areas for improvement and establishing best practices.
- Manage and provide expert support for additional sales tools such as LeanData, Gong, and SalesLoft to enhance sales operations.
- Distill complex technical solutions into plain language, communicating these clearly and understandably to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Function as a senior team member with the ability to guide and mentor more junior team members regarding the quality of their work and technical output.
- Perform administrative tasks and assist with support queues as needed to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
Requirements
- Hold a strong grasp of both administrator and developer areas of the Force.com platform, demonstrating a clear understanding of when and why to use admin versus dev solutions.
- Possess experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, and Experience (Community) Clouds to deliver integrated solutions.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience implementing Salesforce Lightning applications using Salesforce platform tools and technologies, including Apex classes, Visualforce pages, Lightning App Builder, triggers, batch Apex, and Salesforce APIs within large organizational environments.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience developing integrations between Salesforce and other systems, such as external databases or web services, utilizing APIs and other integration tools effectively.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the architecture, capabilities, and constraints of the Salesforce application, combined with a solid comprehension of core business processes.
- Show demonstrative success with at least two large, Salesforce custom-built applications that have been implemented and maintained in production environments.
- Exhibit experience in building complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems that have been successfully delivered to end customers and stakeholders.
- Hold Salesforce Developer certifications, such as Platform Developer I and II, which are required for this role.
- Have development experience with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript to build and customize user interfaces and integrations.
- Bring experience with Jira, Agile methodologies, and working within a Scrum environment to manage priorities and deliver incremental value.
