• With the broader team, the engineer is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the end-to-end data "value chain." This encompasses capturing the correct data, designing a data model that fits the needs of our data consumers, and building analytics on top of that data. </p> <p>The Analytics Engineer II will align with a certain business department to understand the needs of that department.
• This role is considered a subject matter expert for that department within the analytics team.

Requirements

• With the broader team, the engineer is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the end-to-end data "value chain." This encompasses capturing the correct data, designing a data model that fits the needs of our data consumers, and building analytics on top of that data. </p> <p>The Analytics Engineer II will align with a certain business department to understand the needs of that department.
• The Analytics Engineer II independently leads much of the work for that department and provides guidance to others who pick up that work as well.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Detailed Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <p><strong><em>Technical: </em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Convert business requests to code and frameworks</li> <li>Build ingestion, cleaning, and transformation jobs to create a useful integrated data warehouse</li> <li>Regularly monitor and maintain the performance of these jobs</li> <li>Create processes to ensure data quality and cleanliness throughout the pipeline</li> <li>Utilize business intelligence tools (such as Looker) to provide business teams with more self-serve reporting and visualization</li> <li>Support non-technical teams with more advanced analytics as necessary</li> <li>Productionalize manual data processes as necessary</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Responsibility Area: Non-Technical</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Engage with stakeholders to truly understand the needs of the departments</li> <li>Ensure business teams can effectively utilize the data model and are aware of trade-offs, gotchas, etc.</li> <li>Communicate progress and gather feedback on projects with the business</li> </ul> <p>This position requires 0% travel. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></p> <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability, and/or other characteristics needed for this role.
