About the role
You will own the technical win for enterprise customers in the East and Central Timezones by driving full technical sales motions from discovery to closure. You will partner with Account Executives to architect solutions that align with complex buyer committees and multi-stakeholder requirements. You will translate intricate customer data challenges into compelling, differentiated solution designs that highlight Hightouch's platform value. You will become a trusted advisor to technical champions, guiding them through architectural validation and competitive differentiation. You will leverage deep product expertise across Hightouch's suite, including Customer Studio, Identity Resolution, and Agentic Marketing Platform features. You will utilize modern AI tooling to enhance your workflows, increase creative output, and accelerate customer impact throughout the sales cycle. You will contribute beyond your own pipeline, elevating the team's collective standards and helping define go-to-market strategy for emerging AI and agentic products.

What you'll do
Lead technical discovery sessions to deeply understand customer data architecture, marketing workflows, and business objectives, translating these insights into tailored requirements and solution designs.
Design and deliver targeted product demonstrations that showcase Hightouch's Customer Studio, Identity Resolution, Match Booster, and broader Agentic Marketing Platform capabilities.
Run proof-of-concept engagements from initial scoping through execution and validation, ensuring rigorous technical diligence that supports complex enterprise deal closure.
Build and maintain deep technical relationships with data engineers, architects, and marketing technologists, becoming their trusted advisor on data and integration challenges.
Confidently navigate complex buying committees, engaging effectively with technical teams, marketing leaders, and C-suite executives to advance sales momentum.
Serve as a technical advisor for enterprise customers adopting AI workflows, data activation strategies, and decisioning capabilities, partnering directly with Product and Engineering to influence solution direction.
Leverage modern AI tooling to improve speed, creativity, and customer impact across all Solutions Engineering workflows and deliverables.
Develop and articulate clear ROI stories and architectural narratives that align with enterprise procurement processes and competitive benchmarks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine technical positioning, ensuring alignment with market feedback and evolving product capabilities.
Champion customer success by ensuring technical assumptions are validated early, reducing friction during implementation and long-term adoption.
Provide subject-matter expertise on data warehouse integrations, API connectivity, and marketing technology stacks to support high-stakes enterprise evaluations.
Support the creation of technical artifacts, such as solution briefs and discovery templates, that standardize best practices across the enterprise sales team.
Act as a technical escalation partner, addressing detailed questions around scalability, performance, and integration complexity during the sales cycle.
Track and analyze key engagement metrics, including discovery quality, demonstration effectiveness, and proof-of-concept outcomes, to refine the approach continuously.
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, helping elevate the solutions engineering practice through documented learnings and playbooks.
Requirements
5+ years of progressive enterprise pre-sales or solutions engineering experience, including complex solution architecture across multi-stakeholder buying cycles.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical discovery, architectural whiteboarding, and solution design with both technical and business audiences, including C-suite stakeholders.
Deep familiarity with modern data ecosystems, including cloud data warehouses, data modeling, data engineering, integrations, and APIs, and the ability to navigate these architectures confidently without needing to be a hands-on practitioner.
Proven ability to build technical champions and influence complex buying committees across engineering, marketing, and executive levels.
Experience in competitive enterprise sales motions, with familiarity with frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command the Message being a strong plus.
Intellectual curiosity, high ambition, and humility, with a commitment to continuous improvement and honest acknowledgment of knowledge gaps.
A team-first orientation that prioritizes elevating the people around you, operating within shared frameworks and processes, and measuring success by contributions beyond individual quota attainment.
Nice to have
Hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Marketing Automation, Data Warehouses, or similar technologies at the integration, architecture, or use case level.
Background collaborating with data engineering, science, or analytics teams, either as a customer or in a prior role.
Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS company scaling through a significant inflection point.
Practical notes
Travel is required for customer and team engagements.

Compensation
On-Target Earnings: $190,000-$250,000 annually
Base
Salary: $133,000-$175,000 annually
The On-Target Earnings (OTE) offered for this position will depend on several factors, including the selected candidate's experience, interview performance, and final level. OTE is one component of Hightouch's competitive total rewards package. We also offer meaningful equity compensation in the form of ISO options, including early exercise and a generous 10-year post-termination exercise window.
