What you'll do

• Design and implement APIs and microservices that facilitate functionality and integration within the platform.
• Develop expertise in both frontend technologies, particularly Angular, and backend systems using Go, ensuring the cloud infrastructure is optimized for scalability.
• Mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and technical excellence through code reviews and constructive feedback.
• Integrate generative AI technologies into the agency management software, enhancing usability and creating intuitive user experiences.
• Explore and experiment with new technologies and methodologies to continuously improve the platform and user outcomes.
• Analyze priorities and trade-offs to guide strategic development decisions effectively.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver features that align with user needs and expectations.
• Maintain high standards of software reliability through the development and upkeep of comprehensive unit and integration tests.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor or HHAeXchange leadership.

Travel Requirements

• Expect to travel 5-10% of the time, which may include overnight trips, both domestically and internationally.

Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of experience in software engineering, particularly with modern architectures and frameworks.
• Proficiency in at least one reactive JavaScript framework, such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Strong backend development skills, with a preference for Go, but experience in NodeJS or Python is also acceptable.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MongoDB for database management.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools.
• Background in developing high-performance SaaS solutions based on microservices and serverless architectures.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Adaptability and flexibility as a team player in a rapidly changing environment.
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is advantageous.
• Experience in the healthcare sector and understanding of HL7 and FHIR interoperability standards is a plus.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud service providers and their offerings.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Knowledge of security best practices in software development.

Practical notes

• This position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $160,000 per year, excluding variable compensation. The exact salary will depend on various factors, including experience, education, and location.
