What you'll do

• Develop and implement comprehensive workplace safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with HR and management to design and manage employee benefits programs that meet the diverse needs of our workforce.
• Facilitate training sessions on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and health initiatives to promote a culture of safety awareness among employees.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for workplace safety concerns, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
• Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, preparing reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with external vendors and service providers to enhance employee benefits offerings, ensuring competitive and attractive packages.
• Promote wellness initiatives that encourage a healthy work-life balance, including mental health resources and physical wellness programs.
• Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations related to workplace safety and employee benefits, ensuring the company remains compliant.
• Foster a positive workplace culture by engaging employees in safety and wellness programs, encouraging feedback and participation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety and benefits considerations into organizational policies and practices.
• Lead incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions to prevent future occurrences, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in workplace safety, employee benefits management, or a related area, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of local labor laws and safety regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively within the organization.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs and employee benefits initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights for safety and benefits programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR software and safety management systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing workplace safety and employee well-being challenges.

Nice to have

• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or a similar qualification.
• Experience in a multinational company or a fast-paced startup environment.
• Familiarity with wellness program design and implementation.
• Knowledge of employee engagement strategies and best practices.
• Experience in conducting training sessions and workshops related to safety and wellness.
