What you'll do

• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with company goals.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Conduct regular project meetings to communicate updates, address challenges, and foster collaboration among team members.
• Prepare and present project documentation, including reports, proposals, and technical specifications, to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful outcomes.
• Work closely with engineering teams to provide technical guidance and support, ensuring that designs meet project requirements and specifications.
• Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and forecasting future costs to ensure financial accountability.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies used in project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and team members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and advance their careers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly to maintain strong relationships and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering or management within the engineering sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or similar applications.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards relevant to engineering projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering (PE) license or relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP).
• Experience in a specific engineering discipline such as mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.
• Knowledge of Lean or Agile methodologies and their application in project management.
• Previous experience in a client-facing role, enhancing customer relationships and satisfaction.
• Familiarity with CAD software and other engineering design tools.
