About the role

The Senior Technical Integration Specialist is an essential member of the Guide Health team, focusing on the integration of clinical data from new practices and claims data from payers. This role involves managing technical implementation projects in collaboration with healthcare vendors, ensuring the successful deployment of AI and data-driven solutions within a complex healthcare landscape. The specialist will be instrumental in supporting data integration initiatives and overseeing system deployments to facilitate a seamless go-live process.

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for both internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the onboarding and implementation phases.
• Oversee and coordinate data integration projects, including electronic medical record (EMR) integrations, third-party vendor connections, data retrieval processes, API integrations, and SFTP data transfers.
• Lead discussions between technical and business stakeholders, crafting and presenting data flow diagrams while managing integration projects to ensure timely and effective delivery.
• Convert clinical and operational requirements into actionable technical configurations and workflows tailored to project needs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive integration documentation, which includes technical specifications, workflow diagrams, implementation guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct quality assurance and validation of data, performing both automated and manual checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting.
• Diagnose and resolve integration challenges, collaborating with engineering teams, vendors, or client representatives as necessary.
• Plan and execute go-live strategies, providing ongoing maintenance and support following implementation to ensure continued success.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical implementation, data integration, or data analytics specifically within the healthcare sector.
• Proficient understanding of healthcare data formats and standards, including HL7, FHIR, CCDA, XML, and JSON.
• Familiarity with clinical vocabularies and coding systems such as CPT, ICD-10, SNOMED, NPI, and RXNORM.
• Extensive experience in managing data and technical integration projects, including ETL processes, data normalization, SFTP, and API connections.
• Competence in using project tracking and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with data quality assurance and validation methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Bash for data querying and script execution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical implementation projects in healthcare, including onboarding clients or vendors.
• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS (including S3, Lambda, and Step Functions), Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of healthcare workflows, including care management, risk adjustment, quality improvement, revenue cycle management, prior authorizations, and value-based care.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective interaction with both clinical and technical stakeholders.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Background in developing API endpoints for data transfer.
• Familiarity with the Arcadia Analytics Foundry database schema.
• Experience utilizing source control systems such as GitHub, CVS, or Subversion throughout the software development lifecycle.

Practical notes

• The base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
