What you'll do

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance the longevity of equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement facility upgrades and renovations that align with organizational goals.
• Prepare and manage budgets for facility-related projects, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while meeting project timelines.
• Analyze facility performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facility operations and safety standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related inquiries and issues, providing timely and effective solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in facility management or engineering, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Proven experience in project management, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards relevant to facility operations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in using facility management software and tools for project tracking and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Professional certification in facilities management or engineering (e.g., CFM, PMP, LEED).
• Experience with energy management systems and sustainability initiatives.
• Knowledge of local building codes and environmental regulations specific to Guam.
