What you'll do

Develop and write compelling articles, blog posts, and social media content focused on various lifestyle topics, including health, wellness, travel, fashion, and food.
Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and relevancy in all written pieces, utilizing credible sources to support your content.
Collaborate with editors and other writers to brainstorm ideas and refine content strategies that align with our brand goals.
Optimize content for SEO to enhance visibility and engagement, implementing best practices for keyword usage and meta descriptions.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging topics to keep our content fresh and relevant, ensuring we are at the forefront of lifestyle discussions.
Edit and proofread your work as well as that of other team members, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency across all publications.
Engage with our audience through comments and social media interactions, fostering a community around our lifestyle content.
Analyze content performance metrics to assess engagement and effectiveness, using insights to inform future content strategies.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall creative direction of lifestyle content initiatives.
Mentor junior writers, providing guidance and feedback to help them develop their skills and enhance the quality of our content.
Collaborate with marketing teams to align content with promotional campaigns and brand messaging.
Assist in developing content calendars to ensure timely delivery of articles and adherence to publication schedules.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in lifestyle writing or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
Proven ability to write for diverse platforms, including blogs, social media, and newsletters, adapting tone and style as needed.
Strong research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into engaging and accessible content.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and experience in optimizing content for search engines.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Nice to have

Experience in lifestyle photography or graphic design to complement your writing skills.
Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML for formatting articles.
Previous experience working in a remote team environment, demonstrating adaptability and self-motivation.
Familiarity with analytics tools to track content performance and engagement metrics.
A degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is a plus.

Skills & tools

Proficient in using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and other collaborative tools for content creation and communication.
Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling tools to effectively manage and distribute lifestyle content.
Strong understanding of SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to optimize content and track performance.
Ability to use photo editing software or design tools like Canva for creating visually appealing content.
