What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain EDI solutions to facilitate data exchange between Bamboohr and its trading partners, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business analysts, to gather requirements and understand the needs of various stakeholders.
• Implement EDI mapping and translation processes using tools such as X12, EDIFACT, and XML to ensure accurate data formatting and transmission.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues, providing timely support to internal teams and external partners to minimize disruptions.
• Monitor EDI transactions to ensure timely processing and accuracy, identifying and addressing any discrepancies that arise.
• Conduct testing and validation of EDI transactions to ensure data integrity and compliance with business rules.
• Document EDI processes, mappings, and workflows to create a comprehensive knowledge base for future reference and training.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in EDI technology, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance Bamboohr's EDI capabilities.
• Participate in training sessions for staff on EDI processes and tools, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Assist in the integration of EDI systems with existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain management systems.
• Work closely with external vendors and partners to establish and maintain EDI connections, ensuring smooth onboarding and ongoing support.
• Contribute to project planning and management, ensuring that EDI initiatives align with overall business objectives and timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in EDI development, with a strong understanding of EDI standards and protocols.
• Proficiency in EDI mapping tools such as IBM Sterling, SAP PI/PO, or similar platforms.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python for custom EDI solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex EDI issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with database management systems and SQL for data manipulation and reporting.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics operations is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based EDI solutions and integration platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Previous experience in a role involving direct interaction with clients or partners.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance standards relevant to EDI.
• Certification in EDI technologies or related fields is an advantage.
