What you'll do
Lead comprehensive assessments of existing product lifecycle management workflows across diverse client organizations and industries.
Design and recommend scalable PLM system architectures that are tailored to specific business needs and goals.
Guide implementation teams through the structured deployment of product data management solutions and related technologies.
Facilitate interactive workshops with key stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and clearly define project scope.
Develop thorough project plans outlining critical milestones, key deliverables, and realistic timelines for each PLM initiative.
Configure PLM platforms to align with established industry standards and meet all applicable regulatory requirements.
Train end users on PLM tools and ensure smooth adoption of new systems across all departments.
Monitor ongoing project progress closely and adjust strategies proactively to meet evolving client objectives and expectations.
Collaborate directly with software vendors to integrate PLM solutions seamlessly with existing enterprise systems and workflows.
Document lessons learned and best practices to build lasting organizational knowledge repositories for future reference.
Support data migration activities to transfer legacy product information accurately into new PLM environments and platforms.
Requirements
Minimum of seven years of professional experience in product lifecycle management or closely related consulting fields.
Demonstrated expertise in at least one major PLM platform such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or Aras Innovator.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
Strong understanding of product data management principles, change management processes, and configuration management best practices.
Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining high quality under tight deadlines consistently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting detailed findings and recommendations to senior leadership teams.
Experience leading cross-functional teams through complex digital transformation projects and delivering measurable business outcomes successfully.
Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO and ASME for product development documentation and quality assurance.
Nice to have
Prior experience working in manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive sector environments with complex product portfolios.
Professional certifications in project management such as PMP or Prince2 are strongly valued and preferred.
Knowledge of emerging technologies including cloud-based PLM solutions and IoT integration approaches for modern enterprises.
Background in business process reengineering and continuous improvement methodologies applied to product development cycles.
Familiarity with agile and waterfall project management frameworks is a strong advantage in this role.
Skills & tools
Proficiency in major PLM platforms including Teamcenter, Windchill, Aras, or similar enterprise-grade systems.
Experience with enterprise resource planning tools and their integration with PLM environments for streamlined operations.
Familiarity with product data management and document control software applications used in regulated industries.
Solid understanding of SQL and database management techniques for handling large and complex product datasets.
Comfort with requirement gathering and process modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar applications.
Ability to work effectively with version control systems and configuration management practices in team settings.
Knowledge of REST APIs and middleware integration patterns for connecting PLM with other enterprise applications.
Practical notes
