What you'll do
- Lead the development and execution of geological models for mineral resource estimation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct detailed geological mapping and sampling to support exploration initiatives and resource evaluation.
- Collaborate with the exploration team to design and implement drilling programs that align with our strategic objectives.
- Analyze and interpret geological data using advanced software tools to generate comprehensive resource reports.
- Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor and train junior geologists and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Ensure that all geological activities adhere to safety and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Participate in the development of budgets and timelines for geological projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Engage with external consultants and contractors to enhance project outcomes and maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in geological methodologies to drive innovation within the team.

Requirements
- A degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field; a Master's or Ph.D. is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in resource geology, with a strong focus on mineral exploration and resource estimation.
- Proven expertise in geological modeling software (e.g., Surpac, Leapfrog, or similar).
- Familiarity with industry standards such as NI 43-101 and JORC Code for resource reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geological data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
- Experience in project management and the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Proficiency in data management and GIS tools to support geological analysis.
- A commitment to safety and environmental stewardship in all aspects of work.
Nice to have
- Experience in precious and base metals exploration is an asset.
- Previous involvement in international projects or experience working in diverse geological settings.
- Knowledge of advanced geostatistical techniques for resource estimation.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes in mining.
- Membership in professional geological organizations (e.g., AIG, SEG) is a plus.
Skills & tools
