About the role
The Legal Technology & AI Attorney
Investment Funds role owns the design and execution of technology-driven initiatives that reshape how the Investment Funds practice delivers legal services. You will act as a legal technologist and practitioner, embedding directly within the Investment Funds team to identify, test, and scale solutions that enhance precision and vision. This position requires you to translate complex legal workflows into structured processes that enable AI and automation to operate reliably and securely. You will build credibility by demonstrating tangible value to busy practitioners who need sophisticated tools to manage high-stakes transactions. Success in this role depends on your capacity to act as a bridge between rigorous legal reasoning and emerging technological capabilities. You will be expected to operate with autonomy while coordinating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are practical and compliant. Ultimately, this role owns the roadmap for integrating responsible AI and advanced technology into the core of Investment Funds legal service delivery.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and emerging technologies to Investment Funds legal work, informed by a strong understanding of transactional practice and lawyer workflows.
- Work with third party vendors to develop complex agentic work flows, coordinating meetings among attorneys to test such products, and conveying feedback individually and from practitioners to assist in the development of bespoke legal solutions.
- Develop agentic workflows, prompt libraries, and projects to address the needs of the Investment Funds practice group.
- Evaluate, prototype, and implement AI-assisted tools, document automation solutions, and technology-enabled workflows to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
- Participate in technology pilots and assessments, including AI-driven research, drafting, knowledge extraction, and Investment Funds data and market analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with attorneys, technologists, and administrative teams to design practical, user-centered tools that reflect real-world legal judgment and practice needs.
- Lead training sessions for attorneys and staff to promote the effective use of knowledge systems, AI tools, and new workflows.
- Capture feedback from lawyers and stakeholders to support continuous improvement of KM products, processes, and technology adoption.
- Review, update, and rationalize standard templates, forms, and precedents to ensure accuracy and consistency with current laws, regulations, market practice, and Firm standards, as well as suitability for use in technology-enabled workflows.
- Serve as a trusted internal resource for Investment Funds lawyers, providing practical legal judgment and guidance while translating substantive expertise into scalable knowledge and technology solutions.
- Ensure that technology-enabled outputs reflect current market terms, deal structures, and regulatory realities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain knowledge management resources across a spectrum of Investment Funds transactions.
- Identify, draft, and maintain guidance materials, playbooks, and reference content that support both lawyers and AI-assisted systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated passion for AI and emerging technology, including a strong perspective on how such tools can be applied to Investment Funds legal practice and workflows.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
