About the role
You will own the design and delivery of AI and technology solutions that directly enhance the efficiency and scalability of restructuring legal workflows. You will act as the primary liaison between the Business Restructuring and Reorganization Practice Group and the firm's technology and knowledge infrastructure teams. In this capacity, you will translate complex legal practice needs into practical, high-impact technological tools that are rigorously tested and systematically deployed. You will earn the trust of practicing lawyers by demonstrating substantive credibility in restructuring matters while championing an innovator's mindset focused on experimentation and continuous improvement. You will collaborate extensively across offices and support functions to ensure that emerging technologies are integrated seamlessly into daily practice. This role is specifically positioned at the intersection of legal expertise, technological innovation, and operational excellence to drive measurable value for the firm and its clients.

What you'll do
You will identify specific opportunities to apply artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to core restructuring legal work, ensuring solutions are grounded in a deep understanding of practice workflows. You will evaluate, prototype, and implement AI-assisted tools, document automation platforms, and technology-enabled workflows designed to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability across matter types. You will participate in technology pilots and assessments that explore AI-driven research capabilities, drafting support, knowledge extraction processes, and specialized platforms for distressed debt, court filings, and credit analytics. You will collaborate closely with attorneys, technologists, and administrative teams to design user-centered tools that reflect real-world legal judgment and practical business needs. You will lead training sessions for attorneys and staff to promote the effective adoption and utilization of knowledge systems, AI tools, and redesigned workflows. You will capture detailed feedback from lawyers and stakeholders to support the ongoing refinement of knowledge management products and technology adoption strategies. You will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive knowledge management resources tailored to a wide spectrum of restructuring matters, including chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings and workouts, liability management transactions, debtor-in-possession and exit financing, distressed asset sales, creditor and stakeholder negotiations, plans of reorganization, and related disciplines. You will review, update, and rationalize standard templates, forms, and precedents to ensure accuracy, consistency with current laws and regulations, alignment with market practice, and suitability for integration within technology-enabled workflows. You will ensure that all technology-enabled outputs accurately reflect current market terms, complex deal and case structures, and statutory and regulatory realities. You will identify, draft, and maintain essential guidance materials, playbooks, and reference content that effectively support both practicing lawyers and AI-assisted systems in delivering high-quality results.

You must have a strong foundational understanding of business restructuring and reorganization principles, including familiarity with chapter 11 proceedings, workouts, and distressed financial scenarios. You must be willing to engage regularly with lawyers and stakeholders across various offices, requiring frequent travel to U.S. offices as necessary to ensure effective collaboration and implementation.
