About the role
You will lead the firm's adoption of AI-enabled eDiscovery and litigation-support workflows, translating firm AI strategy into practical, measurable value for attorneys and clients across matters of all complexity. You will identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-impact use cases for generative AI, technology-assisted review, and advanced analytics across each stage of the EDRM and the broader litigation lifecycle. You will design, pilot, and scale new AI-driven workflows, setting evaluation standards, defining success criteria, and governing go/no-go and scaling decisions for proof-of-concept initiatives. You will partner with case teams to translate legal objectives into technical and operational plans, ensuring proportionality, cost control, and defensibility in complex, cross-border matters while reinforcing confidentiality, attorney supervision, and professional-responsibility considerations. You will track adoption, usage trends, feedback, and business impact, and report on the return on the firm's technology investments to GPS and firm leadership to guide ongoing investment decisions. You will serve as a trusted strategic partner to stakeholders across the firm's legal practice teams, GPS leadership, and Information Systems, driving organizational change and accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies. You will champion responsible AI use across the team, embedding data security, client expectations, and professional-responsibility considerations into every deployment. You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of eDiscovery Advisors and Subject Matter Experts, building their expertise in AI-enabled workflows and elevating the team's overall capabilities.

Partner with case teams to translate legal objectives into technical and operational plans, ensuring proportionality, cost control, and defensibility in complex, cross-border matters.
Reengineer eDiscovery and litigation-support workflows to embed AI and automation, streamlining data scoping, review, and production while improving quality, defensibility, and speed.
Draft and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflow diagrams, and roles-and-responsibilities matrices that reflect AI-enabled processes and align with industry best practices and firm policy.
Serve as a senior expert advisor, providing strategic guidance on complex legal-technology and AI challenges and delivering high-level consultations that showcase the impact of AI on litigation efficiency.
Design and deliver education and training to build trust with attorneys and staff and drive durable adoption of evolving eDiscovery and AI capabilities.
Collaborate with GPS leadership, Information Systems, Information Security, Information Governance, and Practice Group Management to align AI adoption with the firm's governance frameworks, acceptable-use policies, and data-privacy obligations.
Monitor and balance active workloads across the team to optimize performance and utilization while maintaining rigorous quality standards.
Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the team and with cross-functional partners to ensure a cohesive approach to litigation support and technology adoption.
Requirements
You possess a law license in good standing or equivalent professional qualification, with a strong understanding of eDiscovery, litigation support, and legal-technology workflows.
You bring substantial experience leading complex, cross-border matters and translating business objectives into practical, defensible technology and workflow solutions.
You have a proven track record of managing and scaling emerging technology implementations within a professional services environment, including AI, eDiscovery platforms, and workflow automation tools.
You demonstrate expertise in evaluating, selecting, and governing third-party technology and service providers, with an understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance obligations.
You exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information, assess risk, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and coach stakeholders at all levels, including attorneys, technical teams, and executive leadership.
You have experience leading and developing teams, including mentoring professionals, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative, client-focused culture.
You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, balancing multiple priorities and managing competing demands with integrity and discretion.
