About the role
The Diversity Coordinator serves as a critical operational partner in advancing the firm's diversity and inclusion initiatives from the Los Angeles office. This role owns the end-to-end logistics and coordination for a variety of local and firmwide diversity-related programs, ensuring each event runs smoothly and meets its strategic objectives. The position works in close partnership with the Associate Director in the Diversity Department while interfacing with multiple practice groups and support teams to bring events to life. You will manage complex scheduling requirements, track detailed attendance metrics, and execute timely follow-up communications with key stakeholders. This role requires a high level of precision in planning and an ability to translate strategic vision into actionable, on-the-ground execution. You will act as the logistical backbone for initiatives that shape the firm's culture and community engagement. What you'll do
Orchestrate comprehensive end-to-end logistics and coordination for Diversity programming across multiple offices, including circulating event invitations, making reservations, tracking attendance, and executing required follow up with relevant stakeholders.
Arrange conference room reservations, catering, and A/V requests for a wide array of internal meetings and external firm events, ensuring all technical and service needs are confirmed and operational.
Deliver on-site logistical support for local office events on an as-needed basis, managing setup, vendor coordination, and real-time issue resolution to guarantee seamless execution.
Maintain meticulously organized Diversity department calendars for both internal and external events, aligning scheduling across teams and offices to prevent conflicts and maximize attendance.
Provide high-level administrative assistance for programming, including document preparation, data entry, and the management of correspondence related to event planning and coordination.
Serve as the central point of contact for logistical details, interfacing with facilities, vendors, and internal stakeholders to confirm all requirements are met prior to event dates.
Monitor and report on event attendance and participation metrics, compiling data that informs future programming decisions and measures the impact of diversity initiatives.
Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for speakers and attendees when necessary, ensuring all itineraries are clear and logistical needs are proactively addressed.
Support the development and distribution of event materials, including agendas, presentations, and post-event summaries, to maintain clear communication across the firm.
Collaborate closely with the Associate Director and the broader Diversity team to ensure all initiatives are delivered on schedule and aligned with firm priorities and objectives.
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and multiple deadlines, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous legal environment.
Champion a team-oriented mindset by taking ownership of assigned tasks and actively contributing to departmental goals and broader operational success.

Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting working hours and travel requirements as necessary to meet operational and business needs, including occasional evening and weekend work.
Requirements
Must be able to work onsite on an as-needed basis to support in-person events and programs, ensuring physical presence when required for key activities.
Must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, providing a foundational level of education and professional background.
Must hold at least two years of total work experience, with preference given to candidates with prior experience in a law firm or similar industry.
Must have demonstrated experience working in and/or knowledge of the legal industry or other global professional services firm, including familiarity with recent trends and general structure of law firms.
Must exhibit excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, to perform day-to-day responsibilities efficiently.
Must be able to multitask, work efficiently, and pivot between assignments quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality in a fast-paced environment.
Must show strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines accurately.
Must consistently deliver work product in a timely manner and meet deadlines despite shifting priorities, while remaining responsive to emails and requests from colleagues.
Must be a proactive self-starter capable of self-managing tasks and working independently, while also thriving as an active and supportive member of a team.
