What you'll do

• Lead and manage technical teams to ensure the successful execution of projects from inception to completion, adhering to timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams to develop innovative marine technology solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.
• Oversee the planning and implementation of technical projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer requirements.
• Conduct regular project reviews and provide updates to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the technical team, encouraging innovation and the adoption of best practices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including project plans, specifications, and reports, ensuring accessibility and clarity for all stakeholders.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for clients, addressing inquiries and providing expert guidance on product capabilities and applications.
• Monitor industry trends and advancements in marine technology, integrating relevant findings into project strategies and product development.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all technical operations and project implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marine Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical management role, preferably within the marine or technology sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of marine technology, including sonar systems, underwater vehicles, and related applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a strong focus on delivering results.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards relevant to the marine industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed for project-related activities and client engagements.
