What you'll do

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand product features and functionality, ensuring thorough testing coverage.
• Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard bug tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
• Conduct regression testing to verify that existing functionality remains intact after new features are implemented or bugs are fixed.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage, utilizing tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the software design.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and potential risks.
• Mentor junior QA team members, sharing best practices and guiding them in their professional development.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing, incorporating new techniques and tools into the QA process as appropriate.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless integration of testing processes within the software development lifecycle.
• Assist in the development of quality assurance processes and standards to enhance overall product quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to ensure alignment with team goals and objectives.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools, particularly Selenium, Cucumber, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify root causes of issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience in performance testing and tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and services, particularly AWS or Azure.
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a QA team.
• Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB or equivalent, is advantageous.
