About the role
You will own the end-to-end sales process for our flagship data and analytics products within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. You will act as the primary commercial interface for key strategic accounts, aligning Mystra's capabilities with their most pressing research and development challenges. You will leverage your scientific curiosity to translate complex genomic concepts into clear, compelling commercial narratives for decision makers. This role requires you to build and maintain trusted relationships that span scientific, commercial, and executive stakeholders within client organisations. You will be responsible for creating a robust, data-driven pipeline that feeds directly into company forecasting and strategic planning activities. You will play a key role in shaping market perception by providing first-hand customer insights that influence product positioning and messaging. Ultimately, you will be a growth driver responsible for expanding Mystra's footprint and securing long-term partnerships that deliver value for both our clients and our business.

What you'll do
Identify and prioritise target accounts within the pharma and biotech ecosystems using a structured, insight-led approach to maximise pipeline efficiency.
Qualify and develop opportunities by challenging stakeholders to uncover unmet needs and positioning Mystra as the optimal solution to their strategic objectives.
Build and nurture multi-threaded relationships with R&D, data science, and commercial teams to ensure sustained engagement throughout the customer journey.
Articulate the value of Mystra's platform and specialised consultancy services by connecting advanced genetic analytics to tangible business outcomes.
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial discovery through to contract negotiation, ensuring commercial terms align with company objectives.
Utilise CRM systems to maintain accurate, real-time pipeline data, enabling reliable forecasting and proactive management of key opportunities.
Collaborate with internal Consulting teams to design tailored solution proposals that address complex client requirements and differentiate our offering.
Engage with external partners and stakeholders at industry conferences and events to elevate brand awareness and generate high-quality demand.
Analyse competitive landscapes and client feedback to refine sales approaches, adjust messaging, and support ongoing product and market development.
Champion a culture of scientific curiosity by translating genomic insights into narratives that resonate with both technical and commercial audiences.
Drive adoption of Mystra's tools and services by demonstrating clear ROI and facilitating seamless integration into existing client workflows.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging science affecting pharmaceutical and biotech innovation.
Support marketing initiatives by contributing insights from direct customer interactions to develop impactful content and thought leadership.
Own key administrative and operational tasks related to sales performance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all commercial reporting.
Requirements
You must possess a degree in life sciences, business, or a related field as a baseline for understanding our technology and market.
You must have direct experience in SaaS or enterprise technology sales into pharmaceutical or biotechnology organisations.
You must have a proven track record of engaging with research or R&D teams within life sciences companies.
You must be confident discussing genetics and Genomics, including the practical applications of advanced genetic data.
You must communicate clearly and enthusiastically when presenting to mixed scientific and commercial audiences.
You must be proactive, organised, and energised by the prospect of building a high-growth business from the ground up.
You must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility with scientific stakeholders.
You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities evolve rapidly.
Nice to have
Preferred experience in roles that involve selling data, analytics, or AI-driven solutions into life sciences markets.
Exposure to polygenic risk scores, genetic variant interpretation, or pharmacogenomics is highly relevant.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in pharmaceutical research and diagnostics.
Practical notes
The position is based in London and follows a hybrid working model that balances office presence with remote flexibility.
The role involves travel to industry conferences, client meetings, and events as required to support business development objectives.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship, as the company is currently unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
This is a full-time position with a standard Monday to Friday working pattern aligned with London time zones.
