What you'll do

• Lead and manage structural engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, and resource allocation, while identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, civil engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
• Review and approve engineering designs and calculations, ensuring they meet industry standards and client requirements.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and project staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, integrating them into project management processes.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Assist in business development efforts by identifying new project opportunities and contributing to proposals.
• Foster strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural project management, preferably within the architecture and engineering industry.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on delivering results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and project management tools.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with sustainable design practices and green building certifications.
• Knowledge of advanced modeling software such as Revit or AutoCAD.
