About the role

Fusang is looking for a Senior Full Stack Typescript Developer to join their growing team and contribute to building and maintaining web applications across the entire stack. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying both frontend and backend components using TypeScript as the primary programming language. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs and improve the overall user experience. This position is based in Malaysia with office locations in Federal Territory Labuan, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor. The successful candidate will take ownership of features from initial design through production deployment, ensuring reliability and performance at every stage of the development process. You will have the opportunity to shape the technical roadmap and make a significant impact on the products used by customers.

What you'll do

Design and implement scalable web applications using TypeScript across both client and server sides.

Build reusable frontend components and integrate them with backend APIs to deliver responsive user experiences.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define technical requirements and architecture decisions.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure consistent code quality.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.

Optimize application performance, including load times, rendering efficiency, and server response times.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing monitoring.

Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and helping them grow their technical skills and confidence.

Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in full stack development to inform architectural decisions.

Contribute to system design discussions and help shape the technical direction of the product.

Refactor legacy codebases to improve maintainability, test coverage, and overall system reliability.

Participate in architectural discussions and help evaluate new technologies and approaches for future projects.

Requirements

Proven experience as a full stack developer with strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain production-grade web applications that operate reliably at scale.

Solid understanding of frontend frameworks and libraries commonly used with TypeScript in production environments.

Experience with backend development, including designing RESTful APIs and implementing server-side rendering solutions.

Familiarity with database systems, including both relational databases and NoSQL options for modern applications.

Strong understanding of software design patterns, core data structures, and fundamental algorithms for building scalable systems.

Hands-on experience with version control systems, particularly Git, in a collaborative team environment.

Ability to work effectively in a distributed team across multiple office locations in Malaysia.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deployment and infrastructure management.

Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes for scalable deployments.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks to support continuous integration and delivery.

Background in fintech or financial services applications, including awareness of regulatory compliance considerations.

Experience with message queues or event-driven architectures for building distributed systems.
