About the role
The Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer at Full Spectrum Software owns the end to end delivery of robust, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure that powers next generation medical devices and industrial systems. You will translate ambiguous client requirements into concrete architectural patterns while ensuring every deployment meets the rigorous demands of regulated environments. This role grants you ownership of the complete lifecycle for cloud solutions, from initial design and documentation through implementation, testing, and long term operational excellence. You will act as a technical bridge between development teams and client stakeholders, guiding critical design decisions with clarity and precision. The position demands a proactive mindset that balances innovation with compliance, ensuring solutions are both cutting edge and inherently reliable. You will continuously evaluate and refine infrastructure, driving automation and resilience across distributed environments. What you'll do
Architect and realize cloud infrastructure on AWS that aligns precisely with client specifications while adhering to industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Translate complex requirements into resilient Infrastructure-as-Code artifacts, and build robust CI/CD pipelines that automate testing and deployment workflows.
Operate comfortably within fast paced, multidisciplinary teams, coordinating efforts to ensure timely delivery and alignment with project objectives.
Engage directly with technical leads and clients to dissect requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and make informed design decisions that shape system architecture.
Engineer solutions within a structured IEC 62304 compliant software development lifecycle, ensuring traceability, verification, and validation at every stage.
Produce and maintain clear, up to date technical documentation that supports development, operations, and future maintenance activities.
Harness scripting and programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript to automate tasks, build tools, and solve intricate infrastructure challenges.
Establish and manage CI/CD frameworks tailored for cloud environments, integrating source control, build, test, and release stages into cohesive delivery pipelines.
Implement disaster recovery strategies and configure multi region deployments that enhance availability, performance, and business continuity.
Utilize Lucid Chart to model system designs, visualize architectures, and communicate complex topologies to both technical and non technical audiences.
Apply cybersecurity principles and best practices to infrastructure decisions, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of deployed systems.
Leverage experience with relational and NoSQL databases to design data layers that meet performance, scalability, and compliance requirements.
Construct monitoring dashboards that provide deep insight into cloud environments, enabling proactive detection of issues and informed operational responses.
Adapt quickly when moving between client engagements, mastering new codebases, team dynamics, and product domains without sacrificing delivery quality.
Requirements
Bring more than eight years of hands on experience with AWS architecture and cloud native technologies, demonstrating a proven track record in production environments.
Show competence across diverse operating systems, including Windows and Linux, and fluency with containerization platforms such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Master the Linux command line, along with BASH and PowerShell, to automate workflows, troubleshoot issues, and manage infrastructure efficiently.
Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Terraform, using the tool to define, provision, and manage cloud resources in a reliable and repeatable manner.
Write clean, maintainable code in at least one commonly used scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript to solve infrastructure and automation problems.
Have direct experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for cloud based environments, ensuring that builds, tests, and deployments are reliable and auditable.
Understand disaster recovery concepts and possess hands on experience with multi region deployments, designing systems that can withstand regional failures.
Create and interpret architectural diagrams using Lucid Chart, communicating system designs clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders.
Apply a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including identity management, network security, and data protection.
Embrace Agile methodologies, participating actively in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and other ceremonies that drive iterative delivery.
Show an unwavering commitment to high quality, implementing thorough testing, code reviews, and validation practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences with clarity and precision.
Move seamlessly between client engagements, adapting rapidly to new codebases, team structures, and product domains while maintaining professionalism and reliability.
Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or bring an equivalent number of years of professional experience that demonstrates comparable knowledge and skills.

Have built infrastructure that directly supports medical devices, understanding the regulatory and operational context of healthcare environments.
Bring experience with Internet of Things platforms and architectures, connecting devices securely to cloud backends.
Work with both relational and NoSQL databases, tuning schemas, queries, and backups for performance and reliability.
Construct monitoring and alerting dashboards for cloud environments, providing actionable insights into performance and health.
Conduct load testing and performance analysis to validate that systems scale under realistic traffic patterns.
Possess a working knowledge of RESTful APIs, including standards, tooling, design patterns, and security considerations.
Practical notes
This role is based onsite in either the Boston or Minneapolis area.
The position operates during standard business hours.
Travel is not required for this role.
