Head of Design
Job description
Head of Design
Fullscript is a health technology company founded in 2011 with a clear mission: to help people get better by making it easier for practitioners to access the products they trust. What began as a simple idea has evolved into a platform that powers multiple facets of care. More than 125,000 practitioners use Fullscript for clinical insights, lab interpretations, patient analytics, education, and access to high-quality supplements. Over 10 million patients use the platform to remain connected to their care plans and adhere to treatment protocols.
We create tools intended to make care smarter and more human. These tools are designed to save time, simplify decisions, and help practitioners maintain close connections with the people they serve. The objective is to centralize necessary resources so teams can concentrate on the primary goal: helping people get better. This document presents an opportunity to join that effort and influence the future of care.
The Role
Fullscript has grown into a platform that impacts every part of the care journey. The Design organization has expanded in parallel with this growth. The company now seeks a Head of Design to advance to the next stage: shaping the collective work into a single, category-defining experience and establishing the Design function required for the next phase of growth.
This position involves a significant scope of responsibility. You will define the design operating system, standards, and strategy across every product line. You will own the end-to-end experience encountered by practitioners and patients. Fullscript achieves success through an integrated platform experience rather than a series of separate products. You will be the individual responsible for ensuring that experience feels unified and coherent.
This is a leadership position where a large portion of your impact comes from instilling scalability within the organization, rather than focusing solely on day-to-day production. However, Fullscript is a company of builders, and we seek a leader who remains engaged with the work itself. The ideal candidate sets the quality benchmark, offers incisive critique, and is willing to dive directly into an artboard to solve problems that cross project boundaries when necessary to drive progress. You will function as a peer within the product leadership group and serve as a strategic thought partner to those managing the platform. You will sit at the table with the CPO and CEO and challenge our direction when needed.
About the Role
You are tasked with shaping a unified patient journey and defining design standards for the entire care platform. Your work will transform scattered tools into a single integrated experience that practitioners trust. You will collaborate with leadership to align design strategy with the actual movement of real people through care.

You will lead critique sessions that refine solutions across projects before they reach patients. You will advocate for practitioner workflows so that the journey from education to lab insights feels intuitive and seamless. You will coordinate with analytics teams to validate that changes genuinely improve patient understanding and follow-through. You will align with partners to ensure integrations support a coherent experience. You will translate complex clinical concepts into clear interfaces that simplify decision-making for users. You will safeguard quality by reviewing details late in the flow to prevent issues before release.
Requirements
You must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience leading design within a health technology environment. You must present a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end platform work that connects intake to patient outcomes. You should have a solid understanding of how design systems scale and influence consistency across multiple products.
