About the role
Flux is building an AI hardware engineer to allow anyone to create manufacturable boards using natural language. We are seeking a lifecycle marketing expert to manage the user journey from initial signup through long-term retention and product activation. In this capacity, you will own the strategic design and execution of all lifecycle touchpoints that guide users from curiosity to committed usage. You will architect the narrative that moves a curious visitor toward a successful and retained user base. Your work will directly influence how users perceive the value and sophistication of the platform. You will be responsible for ensuring that every interaction reinforces the promise of effortless hardware creation. This role demands a blend of analytical rigor and creative storytelling specific to technical builders. Ultimately, you will be the steward of the user experience across the entire lifecycle of their relationship with Flux.

What you'll do
- Orchestrate the complete user lifecycle by designing touchpoints for onboarding, activation, education, retention, and reactivation initiatives.
- Architect segmented user journeys that respond to distinct product intent signals and progression through defined lifecycle stages.
- Deploy end-to-end communication strategies by executing email and in-product messaging campaigns that cover strategy, copy, layout, and multivariate testing.
- Partner with product and growth engineering teams to iteratively refine the trial experience and elevate user activation benchmarks.
- Monitor and synthesize key performance indicators such as time to first value, trial conversion rates, and sustained usage patterns to inform decisions.
- Translate raw user feedback, support interactions, and behavioral data into concrete communication strategies that resolve friction points.
- Engineer scalable lifecycle systems and infrastructure that replace ad hoc campaigns with durable, automated processes.
- Enhance email deliverability, maintain list hygiene, and optimize audience segmentation to ensure messages reach the right users at the right time.
- Define and own the metrics framework that measures success across the funnel from initial signup to long-term advocacy.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that align marketing, product, and data teams around shared lifecycle objectives.
- Develop documentation and playbooks that codify lifecycle workflows and ensure continuity as the team scales.
- Identify opportunities in the user journey where targeted interventions can unlock higher conversion and deeper product adoption.
- Conduct regular reviews of campaign performance to identify winners, iterate on underperforming flows, and allocate resources effectively.
- Serve as the primary liaison between technical stakeholders and the growth team to ensure messaging aligns with product capabilities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing lifecycle, growth, or email programs within a product-led growth driven organization.
- Mastery of self-serve user funnels and the activation strategies required to move users from exploration to adoption.
- Expert level proficiency in email marketing craft, including compelling CTA design, sophisticated sequencing, and rigorous performance measurement.
- Proven ability to analyze behavioral data to surface insights that drive experimentation and continuous campaign iteration.
- Exceptional written communication skills tailored for technical or engineering focused audiences, ensuring clarity and precision.
- High ownership mindset with the capability to build new processes, systems, and frameworks from the ground up in undefined environments.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills enabling productive partnerships with product, sales, and data teams.
- Deep understanding of compliance and best practices related to email deliverability and sender reputation management.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and the ability to extract insights that inform marketing decisions without relying solely on analysts.
- Commitment to maintaining brand consistency while adapting messaging for varied stages of the user journey.
- Willingness to operate in a fast-paced, startup environment where priorities can shift rapidly based on user feedback and data.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in messaging, links, and calls to action across all lifecycle communications.
