Regional Facilities Manager
Job description
About the Role
Flow is reimagining the residential experience, operating as a brand, technology platform, and operations ecosystem that spans condominiums, hotels, multifamily residences, and office spaces. We are building human-centered communities where life, work, creativity, and play converge. Our mission is oneness: prioritizing residents and their experiences, and fostering connection with ourselves, neighbors, and the natural world. We are seeking a Regional Facilities Manager to oversee building operations, maintenance performance, and critical systems across a portfolio of multifamily communities. This role serves as the operational leader for facilities teams within an assigned region, partnering closely with General Managers, Assistant General Managers, and onsite maintenance teams to ensure communities operate safely, efficiently, and to Flow standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership experience across multiple properties.
What You'll Do
You will own the end-to-end operational readiness of assigned Flow communities, ensuring that every mechanical system and living environment aligns with Flow standards. You will lead and develop a regional facilities team, setting the tone for execution, accountability, and resident-focused service. You will act as the primary technical and operational partner to General Managers, driving consistency across the portfolio. You will translate corporate priorities into clear, on-the-ground actions for onsite teams. You will safeguard the safety, efficiency, and reliability of critical building systems across your region. You will use data and direct site visits to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in maintenance performance. You will manage vendor relationships and work order processes to keep projects on schedule and within budget. You will mentor team members, helping them grow their technical and leadership capabilities over time.
Key responsibilities include performing hands-on oversight of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across multiple Flow multifamily communities in your region. You will develop and manage annual maintenance budgets, tracking actual spend against projections and identifying optimization opportunities. You will lead preventative maintenance programs, ensuring that equipment, life safety systems, and common area assets remain in optimal condition. You will analyze operational metrics and key performance indicators to uncover inefficiencies and drive targeted corrective actions. You will partner with General Managers and Assistant General Managers to align facility strategies with resident experience goals and brand standards. You will coordinate and supervise major repairs, renovations, and capital projects from initial scoping through completion and closeout. You will implement and monitor work order processes, ensuring that requests are logged, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner. You will conduct regular site visits to inspect building systems, verify compliance with safety protocols, and coach onsite teams. You will establish clear performance expectations for facilities staff, providing feedback, recognition, and development opportunities. You will evaluate and manage third-party vendors, ensuring service levels, contractual terms, and cost effectiveness are consistently met. You will drive documentation of procedures and standard operating practices to create scalable and repeatable facility operations. You will use diagnostic tools and basic building science to interpret system issues and guide appropriate remediation steps. You will support emergency response efforts, guiding onsite teams through critical situations to protect residents and property. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate services that impact resident satisfaction and operational reliability.
