What you'll do

• Interpret and apply international customs regulations to guarantee adherence to legal standards.
• Oversee the preparation and management of data and documentation necessary for customs clearance with the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency.
• Liaise with international clients and logistics partners to provide timely updates and assistance regarding shipment statuses.
• Employ proprietary software to enhance customs workflows and generate insightful data for clients.
• Engage in client business reviews and operational meetings to contribute to strategic planning and execution.
• Continuously maintain and refine standard operating procedures to boost operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any customs-related issues that may arise during the shipping process.
• Monitor changes in customs regulations and ensure that the team is informed and compliant with any updates.
• Assist in training new team members on customs processes and compliance requirements.
• Analyze customs data to identify trends and areas for improvement in operational practices.
• Support the development of client-facing resources that educate and inform about customs processes and requirements.
• Participate in industry events and workshops to stay abreast of best practices and innovations in customs and trade compliance.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is essential.
• A strong dedication to regulatory compliance and maintaining professional integrity is required.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle a high volume of tasks independently.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment while adapting to new technologies.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to meet stringent deadlines consistently.
• Experience in customs operations or logistics is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with customs software and data management tools.
• Previous experience working in a multinational logistics or trade environment.
• Knowledge of additional languages can be an asset in this role.
• Certification in customs brokerage or related fields is a plus.
