By collaborating with cancer centers in Japan, the US, and Europe, we aim to convert real-world patient experiences into valuable insights that contribute to a progressive oncology ecosystem.

What you'll do
- Spearhead the execution of Flatiron's marketing and communications strategy tailored for the Japanese healthcare sector, setting clear priorities and actionable initiatives that align with the company's goals.
- Develop and distribute high-quality content across multiple channels, including websites, articles, blogs, webinars, and social media, managing the entire process from ideation to publication.
- Assist in forming strategic alliances with cancer hospitals and pharmaceutical companies, preparing necessary documentation and supporting negotiations and discussions.
- Improve the success of partnerships by overseeing operational execution, managing communications with partners, and ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
- Streamline marketing and communications processes through effective documentation and tracking, ensuring consistency and measurable outcomes.
- Craft customized communications for stakeholders in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, research, and policy sectors, focusing on oncology and real-world evidence.
- Coordinate and oversee Flatiron's involvement in conferences and industry events, including local meetings and briefings.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform and adapt communications strategies effectively.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, consulting, partnerships, or related fields within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, health tech, or fast-paced startup environments.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail and an understanding of tone and audience engagement.
- A genuine interest in developing partnerships and managing ongoing operations with Japanese hospitals and pharmaceutical companies.
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English.
- A proven history of designing and implementing marketing or communications strategies, particularly in the Japanese healthcare landscape.
- A solid understanding of Japan's regulatory and ethical frameworks, with the ability to tailor communication strategies for diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar platforms that support marketing and communications efforts.
Nice to have
- Experience in engaging with stakeholders in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or research, especially within cancer institutions.
- Knowledge of the ethics approval process or contractual agreements with Japanese hospitals or pharmaceutical companies.
- Relevant expertise related to Flatiron's products, enabling effective communication regarding the influence of real-world data on healthcare practices.

Employment Term: Indefinite
Probationary Period: 6 months

Location: Tokyo, Japan
Work Hours: Standard working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with options for a flexible work schedule.
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays are observed.
