You will own the definition and execution of the product vision for reverse ETL and integrations, translating ambiguous customer needs into clear product direction. You will lead the design and delivery of the next generation of data platforms that power analytics, automation, and AI for thousands of customers. You will work closely with the Census founders and engineering teams to expand the scope of Fivetran and redefine how modern businesses operate with data. This role offers the autonomy of a startup with the recognition and impact of an established leader.

What you'll do
Analyze ambiguous and technical customer feedback and translate it into a clear product vision for reverse ETL and integrations.
Lead cross-functional design and engineering teams to deliver reliable, delightful product experiences that scale with customer demand.
Define and own the roadmap for Census and Fivetran integration capabilities, balancing innovation with operational excellence.
Collaborate with sales and customer success to refine messaging, positioning, and use cases for data and operations personas.
Partner with design teams to synthesize user research into intuitive workflows that reduce complexity for data practitioners.
Communicate product direction and progress internally to stakeholders and externally to customers during sales conversations and community forums.
Evaluate technical constraints and opportunities to ensure integration solutions are performant, secure, and maintainable.
Set priorities that align with Fivetran's mission of making data reliable and accessible like electricity for every workflow.
Champion metrics-driven decision making to validate product success and iterate based on user behavior and outcomes.
Work closely with leadership to shape the broader data ecosystem strategy and long-term vision for reverse ETL platforms.
Define success metrics and experiment frameworks to measure impact on customer outcomes and product adoption.
Represent the product in cross-company initiatives to ensure integration strategies support enterprise and startup customers alike.
Synthesize competitive and market insights to inform product positioning and differentiation in the data integration space.
Ensure documentation and release narratives clearly explain product value and functionality to diverse audiences.
Drive alignment across engineering, design, marketing, and sales to maintain coherent product narratives and execution.
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
Require a minimum of eight years of experience in product management, with at least four years focused on data platforms or integration products.
Require demonstrated experience delivering software products that solve complex data and operations problems for enterprise customers.
Require strong written and verbal communication skills to influence leadership and cross-functional teams.
Require comfort working with ambiguous requirements and making decisions with incomplete information in a fast-paced environment.
Require experience managing a multifaceted product roadmap and prioritizing competing demands under tight deadlines.
Require proven ability to collaborate directly with engineering and design teams to execute against a bold product vision.
Require passion for building reliable, scalable data infrastructure that empowers users to derive insights quickly and safely.
Nice to have
Experience with reverse ETL concepts, data pipelines, and cloud data warehouses.
Familiarity with the Census platform and Fivetran's existing product suite.
Background working in enterprise software sales or customer-facing technical roles.
Experience contributing to open source data integration projects or publishing technical content.
Practical notes
This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA or Denver, CO office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
