About the role
The individual in this position serves as a critical link between Fiscalnote and its client base, ensuring successful adoption of the Fireside and CQ/FN platforms. You will function as a trusted consultant to offices located on Capitol Hill, guiding them in embedding our software solutions into their standard operating procedures. The primary objective is to align the use of our technology with the specific strategic goals held by each client office. You will be responsible for navigating the complex legislative environment to demonstrate the tangible value of our products. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying client needs and translating them into actionable software workflows. Success in this position will be defined by your ability to foster long-term partnerships and drive platform utilization. You will own the end-to-end relationship lifecycle, from initial onboarding through mature account management.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Orchestrate strategic client relationships to ensure high retention rates and platform satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion through cross-selling and up-selling existing clients on the Fireside platform.
- Administer the complete renewal process, including leading pricing negotiations and contract term adjustments.
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecast objectives for assigned accounts.
- Perform onsite business impact analyses and deliver compelling product demonstrations to client stakeholders.
- Proactively identify churn risks and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to implement mitigation plans.
- Generate precise and accurate sales and renewal forecasts to support company planning.
- Liaise with Marketing and Product teams to communicate client feedback, use cases, and feature requests.
- Participate in discussions regarding the nuances of legislative and regulatory processes affecting client priorities.
- Travel to client sites within the DC area and attend relevant industry events to maintain market awareness.
Requirements
- Possess 3+ years of professional experience in field account management or sales roles within the technology or government sectors.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of meeting retention, renewal, and sales target objectives.
- Show familiarity with Capitol Hill operations, software ecosystems, and standard office structures.
- Have direct experience managing client success or account management for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products.
- Exhibit the capability to lead in-person demonstrations and executive-level meetings with confidence.
- Maintain strong organizational, time management, and verbal communication skills.
- Adhere to the requirement of passing a background check and drug screening as part of the employment process.
- Comply with the mandate to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical or religious exemption.
- Be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for an employment visa at this time.
- Understand that FiscalNote utilizes E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility for all new hires.

Practical notes
- Compensation is specified as a base salary ranging from $80,000 to $85,000, supplemented by a $30,000 commission structure.
