About the role
The Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities for data center fit-out and network infrastructure deployment projects. This role operates on-site and acts as the primary liaison between the Project Manager, Project Engineer, Engineering Team, Site Supervisors, and Subcontractors to ensure seamless workflow. The hire will enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project schedules while driving execution efficiency across the construction lifecycle. They will own the daily decision-making on site to resolve unforeseen challenges and keep project momentum aligned with strategic goals. This position is critical in translating design intent into built reality for Firmus AI Factories across the Asia Pacific region. The role demands proactive ownership, direct accountability for outcomes, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without reliance on corporate hierarchy. By bridging technical design and on-ground execution, the Site Manager ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of operational reliability.

What you'll do
- Develop daily work plans and weekly look-ahead schedules aligned with the project master schedule to maintain construction momentum.
- Plan and coordinate site activities across manpower, materials, methods, and machinery (4M) to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
- Manage construction sequencing and work-front readiness to ensure logical workflow and adherence to critical path activities.
- Coordinate site access, work permits, and logistical requirements to secure smooth operations and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and coordinate site supervisors, subcontractors, and installation teams to foster collaboration and accountability.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality requirements to uphold engineering integrity.
- Monitor installation progress, productivity, and resource utilization to identify deviations and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Resolve site execution issues and coordinate technical clarifications with engineering teams to prevent delays and rework.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with safety standards, quality benchmarks, and environmental protocols.
- Track and report construction metrics to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to communicate progress, risks, and mitigation strategies in a transparent and timely manner.
- Support the implementation of Firmus Technologies' model-to-grid approach by ensuring alignment with energy management and infrastructure deployment standards.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation of best practices to enhance future project execution and team capability.
- Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and operational excellence across the construction site and broader project ecosystem.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence in all construction activities.
- Possess proven experience in managing construction projects within the data center or heavy infrastructure environment.
- Show ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements accurately.
- Exhibit strong coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, and trades on-site.
- Display sound judgment in making timely decisions to resolve site issues and maintain project schedule.
- Hold a recognized certification or qualification relevant to construction management or civil works.
- Have experience in coordinating work permits, site access, and logistical planning for complex projects.
- Maintain high standards of communication, reporting, and documentation in a professional manner.
- Willingness to work on-site in Batam, Indonesia, and adapt to the demands of a fast-paced construction environment.
