About the role

Figure is at the forefront of innovation, developing autonomous humanoid robots intended for a variety of tasks in both residential and commercial environments. As a Deployment Staging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to prepare physical spaces that enable effective data collection for training these robots. This role involves significant travel to different locations where you will create realistic settings that allow our robots to learn from a wide range of real-world interactions.

What you'll do

• Travel extensively to various offsite locations for data collection, with travel requirements of at least 75% of your working time.
• Design and arrange furniture, props, and scene layouts according to specific data capture needs, ensuring optimal conditions for robot training.
• Oversee the loading and unloading of equipment and staging materials, ensuring everything is transported safely and efficiently.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of props, reporting any damages or losses promptly to ensure smooth operations.
• Tackle any technical or setup challenges that arise on-site, utilizing problem-solving skills to maintain workflow.
• Capture photographs and document site configurations meticulously to keep accurate records for future reference.
• Collaborate closely with the data collection team to ensure alignment on project timelines, specifications, and objectives.
• Uphold safety standards and operational compliance in all areas where data collection takes place, ensuring a secure working environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of experience in staging, set design, warehouse operations, or event setup is essential.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, with at least 75% of your time spent on the road, including extended stays at remote locations.
• Physical stamina to stand for long durations and the capability to lift and carry items weighing at least 30 pounds regularly.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required, along with comfort in operating a van for transportation of materials.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in following complex setup instructions is crucial for success in this role.
• Proven ability to work independently, managing tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with remote team members.
• Adaptability to accommodate changing schedules and varying site environments is important.
• Must be able to pass a background check as part of the hiring process.

Nice to have

• Experience in real estate staging, film or television production, or working with photography sets would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with consumer electronics or smart home device installations can enhance your candidacy.
• A background in logistics or inventory management would be beneficial for this role.
• Basic photography skills for documenting site configurations are a plus.
• Forklift certification or experience in handling equipment can be an added advantage.
