About the role
As a , you will be a vital part of our quality assurance team, responsible for ensuring the robustness and reliability of our software products. You will develop, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions that cover UI, API, and performance testing. Working closely with engineering, product, and QA teams, you will help identify automation opportunities, improve testing processes, and ensure high-quality releases. This role emphasizes the use of modern testing frameworks, automation best practices, and AI-assisted tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. You will be involved in designing scalable automation architectures, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to the overall quality culture within the organization.

What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive automated test suites for UI, API, integration, and performance testing, utilizing frameworks such as Playwright.
- Use AI-driven tools to assist in creating, optimizing, and maintaining automated tests, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing manual effort.
- Collaborate with QA engineers, developers, and product managers to identify automation opportunities, define testing strategies, and expand test coverage through Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.
- Write, review, and maintain Gherkin feature files to facilitate clear communication of testing scenarios and requirements across teams.
- Conduct code reviews of automation scripts to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot automation failures, diagnose root causes, and work with development teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable automated testing during build and deployment processes.
- Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation solutions that can be easily extended as the product evolves.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure testing strategies align with product goals and quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in test automation, AI-assisted testing tools, and industry best practices.
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies to continuously improve testing processes and team collaboration.
- Document automation frameworks, test cases, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Contribute to the development of testing metrics and reports to monitor automation effectiveness and coverage.
- Support manual testing efforts when needed, especially in complex scenarios that require exploratory testing or validation of new features.
- Assist in onboarding new team members by providing guidance on automation frameworks, tools, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Between 6 to 8 years of experience in QA automation, with a strong focus on automation development and scripting.
- Proven expertise in Playwright with TypeScript for UI automation testing.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and frameworks to enhance automation workflows and improve test quality.
- Practical knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies and experience writing Gherkin feature files using frameworks like Cucumber.
- Strong background in automating UI, API, and integration tests, with a solid understanding of automation architecture and design principles.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as k6 or JMeter, and experience in performance testing and analysis.
- Knowledge of Salesforce (Sales Cloud/Service Cloud) test automation is a plus, although not mandatory.
- Ability to develop maintainable, scalable, and reusable automation solutions that adhere to coding standards.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, with familiarity in tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose automation failures and optimize test performance.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and documenting processes clearly.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Ability to adapt to new tools and technologies quickly, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and related testing.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL for backend testing.
