Senior Product Manager

About the role

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in creating a next-generation Operating System designed specifically for New Product Development (NPD). Your primary responsibility will be to integrate artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced manufacturing insights to fundamentally transform how products are designed, sourced, and delivered on a global scale. You will take ownership of the Manufacturing Quoting & Fulfillment platform, working to enhance collaboration among customers, operations teams, and manufacturing partners. This role requires a strategic mindset combined with technical understanding to drive innovative solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across manufacturing workflows.

What you'll do

• Develop and communicate a clear, long-term vision for the manufacturing intelligence platform, emphasizing the strategic value of AI and automation in manufacturing processes.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to incorporate machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision technologies into workflows related to quoting, supplier selection, and manufacturing data analysis.
• Build comprehensive business cases for AI initiatives, demonstrating potential return on investment through increased accuracy, reduced costs, and enhanced operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with data science and R&D teams to define the product roadmap for AI-driven quoting and fulfillment processes, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Work hand-in-hand with AI research and data engineering teams to translate complex AI models into scalable, user-friendly product features that can be integrated into existing systems.
• Define detailed system requirements for solutions utilizing large language models and predictive algorithms to effectively manage manufacturing data and automate decision-making processes.
• Establish robust feedback mechanisms between AI systems and end-users to continuously improve model accuracy, reliability, and user trust.
• Lead pilot programs to test new AI functionalities, gather user feedback, and iterate before deploying features at scale across the organization.
• Convert high-level strategic initiatives into detailed, actionable product roadmaps with specific milestones and measurable outcomes.
• Develop frameworks and dashboards to monitor the impact of new AI features on key business metrics such as quoting accuracy, cycle times, and supplier performance.
• Balance the need for rapid innovation with the reliability and safety of AI systems, especially in critical manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering teams located across the US and India to ensure timely and successful project execution.
• Gain a deep understanding of workflows and pain points faced by engineers, procurement teams, and manufacturing partners to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
• Use data-informed approaches to prioritize AI projects that deliver the greatest value and feasibility.
• Foster programs that incorporate user feedback into AI system development, promoting transparency, trust, and adoption among stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to ensure AI innovations translate into tangible business results.
• Simplify complex technical concepts related to AI and automation to facilitate stakeholder understanding and buy-in.
• Promote a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, leveraging data and user feedback to guide product development cycles.
• Stay informed about emerging AI technologies and industry trends to ensure the platform remains innovative and competitive.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in product management within B2B, SaaS, or technology sectors, demonstrating a track record of delivering impactful products.
• Proven experience in developing AI-driven products or working closely with AI research teams to deploy machine learning models in real-world applications.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data insights into strategic product decisions.
• Experience managing product roadmaps using Agile methodologies, with a focus on iterative development and continuous delivery.
• Familiarity with integrating multiple enterprise systems such as ERP, supply chain management, or manufacturing execution systems.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams across different time zones and cultural contexts.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments where innovation and adaptability are valued.
• Knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain processes is a plus, but not mandatory.

Nice to have

• Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics, especially in quoting, procurement, or fulfillment domains.
• Knowledge of machine learning, computer vision, or data analytics frameworks relevant to industrial applications.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as 3D printing, CNC machining, or other advanced manufacturing techniques.
• Experience in deploying and commercializing AI models for practical, operational use.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and tools commonly used in AI development, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Prior experience working in a startup or high-growth environment, demonstrating agility and resourcefulness.

Practical notes

Salary Range: $180,000 to $218,000 per year, based on experience.
