About the role
In this position, you will be responsible for managing and expanding key customer accounts within the Factory Automation sector. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing strategic account plans to meet and exceed revenue targets. You will work closely with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and product management, to ensure customer needs are met effectively. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will help customers optimize their product usage, address technical and application challenges, and foster long-term relationships. The role involves a combination of consultative selling, strategic planning, and relationship management, all aimed at driving growth and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

What you'll do
- Develop comprehensive strategic plans for assigned key accounts to achieve revenue growth objectives and ensure customer success.
- Collaborate with internal sales teams to monitor sales forecasts, manage pipeline activities, and track progress toward targets.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations, including engineering, purchasing, and management teams.
- Provide consultative guidance during customer design and purchasing processes to promote product adoption and application success.
- Deliver professional, clear presentations of products and services to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring understanding and engagement.
- Identify customer challenges, needs, and opportunities, and propose tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction, increase product utilization, and generate additional revenue.
- Gather and analyze customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence, then share this information with sales leadership and product teams to inform strategy.
- Work alongside product managers, engineers, and leadership to support business development initiatives and identify new growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Apply effective sales strategies, continuously refining approaches to optimize account performance and maximize revenue potential.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of forecasts, opportunities, account activities, and customer interactions within CRM systems.
- Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and industry events to stay current on product offerings, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Ensure timely follow-up with customers and internal teams to resolve issues, provide updates, and advance sales cycles.
- Support the onboarding of new customers and facilitate smooth transitions from sales to account management.
- Contribute to the development of sales collateral, proposals, and presentations to support account growth efforts.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and fostering long-term loyalty.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical or logistical issues that may impact customer satisfaction or sales performance.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align sales activities with overall company goals and market opportunities.
- Occasionally visit customer sites, participate in trade shows, or attend industry events to strengthen relationships and gather market intelligence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial sales, particularly in selling mechanical components for automation or assembly equipment.
- Proven track record in consultative selling, with the ability to engage and influence multiple levels within customer organizations.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic account plans to drive revenue growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.

- Salary Range: On-Target Earnings (OTE) up to $135,000, including base salary and commissions, plus a car allowance.
