What you'll do

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand design specifications and project requirements, ensuring that all layout plans align with project goals.
• Conduct on-site assessments to gather data and measurements necessary for accurate field layout execution.
• advanced surveying tools and software to create detailed layout plans that guide construction activities.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of layout designs, modifications, and project progress for internal records and client updates.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure that layout plans are implemented correctly and address any discrepancies that may arise during the build process.
• Perform regular site inspections to verify that work is progressing according to layout specifications and make adjustments as needed.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field personnel, ensuring they understand layout plans and can execute them effectively.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in field layout techniques to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
• Participate in project meetings to communicate layout progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
• Assist in training new team members on field layout procedures and the use of relevant tools and software.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all layout activities.
• Contribute to the development of innovative layout strategies that enhance project efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in field layout or a related role within the construction or engineering industry.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and levels, along with experience in CAD software for layout design.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and relevant codes and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work and ensuring accuracy in all layout designs.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D modeling software or Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
• Familiarity with project management software and methodologies.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a field layout context.
• Certification in surveying or a related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and their application in field layout.
