Key facts
What you'll do
- Execute finishing processes on various products, including sanding, polishing, and coating, to achieve desired surface finishes.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet both internal standards and client specifications.
- Operate finishing machinery and tools safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the finishing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Document production activities and quality checks accurately to maintain compliance with company policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance finishing processes.
- Train and mentor new team members on finishing techniques and best practices, fostering a culture of learning and development.
- Assist in inventory management of finishing supplies, ensuring that materials are available as needed for production.
- Work closely with other departments, such as production and quality assurance, to ensure workflow and communication.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in manufacturing or finishing processes is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finishing role or similar position within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Proficiency in operating finishing tools and machinery, with a solid understanding of safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including work orders and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.
Nice to have
- Experience with advanced finishing techniques, such as CNC machining or laser finishing.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and standards within the manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
