What you'll do
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive compensation structures that align with the company's strategic goals and market trends.
- Conduct regular market analysis to ensure our salary ranges and benefits packages remain competitive within the industry.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop and refine job descriptions, ensuring accurate classification and compensation levels.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Develop and maintain metrics and reporting systems to track the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits, providing guidance and support to enhance employee understanding and satisfaction.
- Lead the annual compensation review process, including salary adjustments and bonus allocations, ensuring fairness and transparency.
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all compensation and benefits practices.
- Partner with external vendors and consultants to evaluate and enhance our benefits offerings, ensuring they meet the needs of our diverse workforce.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management regarding compensation trends, benefits utilization, and recommendations for strategic adjustments.
- Facilitate training sessions for HR staff and managers on compensation policies and benefits administration, promoting best practices throughout the organization.
- Participate in special projects related to compensation and benefits, contributing to the overall HR strategy and organizational development initiatives.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CCP, CBP) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits management, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective programs.
- Strong knowledge of compensation analysis techniques, benefits administration, and labor laws, including FLSA, ERISA, and ACA compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based on findings.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and compensation management software, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus, providing insight into industry-specific compensation practices.
- Familiarity with global compensation and benefits practices, particularly if the company has international operations or employees.

Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and presentation.
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, or similar systems for managing employee data and benefits administration.
- Strong understanding of compensation benchmarking tools and methodologies to ensure competitive pay structures.
- Familiarity with compliance software to assist in maintaining adherence to labor laws and regulations.
