Bamboohr is seeking a dedicated Civil Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, North Carolina. What you'll do

Lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project execution.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management, to keep them informed of progress and any potential challenges.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, to maintain accurate records and ensure transparency.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution, implementing strategies to minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum.
Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project.
Mentor and guide junior team members, providing support and fostering their professional development within the organization.
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure that Bamboohr remains at the forefront of civil engineering innovation.
Collaborate with the business development team to identify new project opportunities and contribute to proposal development.
Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Proficient in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

Nice to have

Experience with sustainable design practices and green building certifications.
Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
Knowledge of local construction codes and regulations in North Carolina.
Previous experience in business development or client relationship management.
Membership in professional organizations, such as the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Skills & tools

Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design software.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
Familiarity with budgeting and financial management principles related to project execution.
Ability to utilize data analysis tools to inform decision-making and project planning.

Practical notes

This position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and may require occasional travel to project sites.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and may require visa sponsorship.
