About the role
Fastly is looking for a Sales Strategy & Ops Analyst to join their growing team in Pune, India. This role focuses on supporting sales operations and strategy initiatives that drive measurable business growth across the organization. The analyst will work closely with sales leadership to analyze performance data and identify meaningful opportunities for improvement and expansion. You will help shape the direction of sales efforts by providing actionable insights and maintaining key operational processes that keep the team aligned and productive.

What you'll do
Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and patterns across multiple regions and teams.
Develop and maintain comprehensive sales reports and dashboards for regular leadership review.
Support the creation of data-driven sales strategies based on market and internal data analysis.
Coordinate with sales teams to track pipeline metrics and improve forecast accuracy over time.
Assist in the design and implementation of streamlined sales processes and workflows.
Monitor competitor activity and market shifts to help inform strategic decisions and planning.
Help prepare quarterly and annual sales planning materials for management review and alignment.
Collaborate with finance and marketing teams to align on shared revenue targets and goals.
Maintain and regularly update CRM data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Present detailed findings and actionable recommendations to sales and executive stakeholders clearly.
Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains within the sales organization.
Support the onboarding and training of new sales team members on tools and processes.
Review historical sales data to support annual planning and budget allocation discussions.
Track and report on key sales initiatives to measure progress against targets.
Requirements
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience working with large and complex datasets regularly.
Proficiency in spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential for this role.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving are important qualities.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in sales operations or business analysis.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is expected.
Familiarity with sales metrics and key performance indicators is strongly necessary for success.
Experience with data storytelling and the ability to translate complex findings into simple narratives.
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
Proven ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Nice to have
Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot is considered a strong plus.
Knowledge of SQL or basic data querying capabilities is highly beneficial for this role.
Previous exposure to the technology or cloud infrastructure sector is particularly valued here.
Comfort with presenting data-driven insights to non-technical audiences and cross-functional partners is helpful.
Understanding of go-to-market models and sales funnel dynamics is a valuable asset.
