The Director, Product Marketing - Security, AI and Emerging Technology at Fastly is responsible for owning the market narrative for security and artificial intelligence initiatives across the edge cloud platform. What you'll do
You will establish Fastly's authority in security conversations through evidence based messaging that is rooted in platform performance and customer results. You will design go to market structures that align sales, marketing, and product teams around shared outcomes for security and AI initiatives. You will champion customer proof points so advocacy content reflects real world security and AI outcomes achieved in production deployments. You will build sales tools that equip teams to discuss risk, compliance, and innovation with confidence and precision in enterprise contexts. You will partner with Analyst Relations leaders to ensure the analyst community understands Fastly's strategic security momentum and differentiation. You will orchestrate partner campaigns so channel teams can sell security and AI stories with consistency and clarity across ecosystems. You will translate competitive moves into positioning shifts that keep Fastly insightfully ahead in markets focused on edge security and intelligent platforms. You will review content performance across customer journeys to refine messaging for security and emerging technology offerings over time. You will ship enablement materials that shorten sales cycles and clarify value for high stakes deals involving security and AI. You will lead and manage a team of product marketers covering Security and AI & Emerging Technology with a focus on growth and development. You will provide direction, feedback, and career growth guidance to this team to strengthen capabilities and ownership. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure product strategy, messaging, and packaging are aligned and effective for target segments. You will act as a cross functional evangelist for security and AI categories, promoting collaboration across teams. You will use Portfolio Intelligence to apply competitive intelligence and technical differentiation insights in shaping narratives. You will ensure proof points, value delivery, and customer insights from the Advocacy team are accurately represented in external materials. You will partner with Advocacy on the creation and review of customer proof materials such as case studies, testimonials, and references. You will partner with enablement to create sales trainings and other assets used in security and AI sales cycles. You will guide the strategic creation and execution of go to market plans for security and AI/emerging technology product launches. You will provide input on and create unique assets with Growth Marketing and Campaigns for use across the buyer journey, including within select verticals.
Requirements
You must have several years directing product marketing in fast moving technology environments where security and AI narratives intersect. You must understand security platforms and AI product narratives inside enterprise contexts to communicate value effectively. You must demonstrate experience aligning cross functional teams around coherent go to market motion that connects strategy with execution. You must show comfort working with analysts, sales teams, and executive stakeholders to build credibility and influence. You must adhere to the job type of full-time with standard business hours as defined in the role parameters. You must be located in one of the specified locations including Denver, CO; New York City, NY; or San Francisco, CA to support collaboration. You must have the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, audience specific messaging for diverse stakeholders. You must exhibit strong judgment when handling confidential information and competitive positioning in public discussions. You must display ownership for outcomes related to security and AI positioning in a way that reflects positively on the brand.
