What you'll do
The Test Development Engineer will be deeply involved in the entire product validation lifecycle, ensuring that server and storage products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Key responsibilities include architecting and owning the comprehensive test strategy for server and storage products, guiding coverage from initial intake to final shipment. This involves creating resilient processes that maintain quality standards throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) journey. The role requires close collaboration with design, manufacturing, and quality functions to align testing objectives with operational goals.
- Defining structural and functional test methodologies that enhance production efficiency and coverage across all stages of manufacturing.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining standardized test software and associated automation scripts. Collaboration with test infrastructure specialists will be essential to deploy necessary hardware test stations and production validation racks.
- Leading complex hardware debugging initiatives, performing root cause analysis, and validating fixes within demanding manufacturing test environments.
- Creating and maintaining precise technical documentation, including test plans, validation reports, procedural work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
- Driving cross-functional alignment to guarantee operational readiness and a seamless transition between development and production phases.
- Implementing and managing physical test racks and hardware stations to support high-volume validation activities.
- Verifying the functional behavior of server and storage architectures throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
This role requires a specific skill set focused on advanced manufacturing validation. Candidates must possess proven expertise in both PCBA-level testing and system-level validation processes. Hands-on experience with hardware debugging using laboratory instruments in a production environment is essential.
