About the role

Everpure is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to advance technical sales within the data storage sector. This position defines solution implementation for business outcomes, owning the technical narrative from initial engagement to contract finalization. You will translate intricate architectures into distinct customer value. The role is based remotely in Connecticut and operates as a full-time position. In this capacity, you will serve as the primary technical storyteller, ensuring that storage capabilities directly address executive-level business pressures. You will be responsible for converting complex technical jargon into compelling value propositions that resonate with C-suite stakeholders. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to shorten the sales cycle through technical clarity and confidence. You will act as a critical bridge between the product roadmap and customer implementation realities. Ultimately, you will ensure that Everpure storage solutions are perceived as indispensable strategic partners rather than commodity vendors.

What you'll do

• Architect and deliver technical narratives that align Everpure storage capabilities with specific enterprise procurement criteria and strategic business objectives.
• Design and maintain evaluation frameworks and benchmarks that objectively demonstrate how the Everpure portfolio performs under diverse, real-world workload conditions.
• Translate complex requirements into concrete implementation pathways by orchestrating the capture of detailed customer business and technical needs.
• Build and nurture partnerships across portfolio vendors to rigorously validate interoperability and strategically expand the breadth of solution coverage for joint sales initiatives.
• Guide the creation of precise, technically authoritative responses to Requests for Information, Requests for Proposals, and security questionnaires.
• Lead the orchestration of RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses, contributing major sections or exercising full ownership of key answers to ensure competitive differentiation.
• Drive the identification of emerging use cases to uncover new storage validation scenarios, expose competitive gaps, and proactively adjust positioning strategies.
• Maintain vigilant competitive awareness across Direct Attached Storage, Network Attached Storage, and Storage Area Network environments to ensure product positioning remains sharp and defensible.
• Shape internal roadmap discussions by providing data-driven input that influences future feature emphasis and long-term strategic direction.
• Create thought leadership assets such as whitepapers and web content that reinforce the Everpure brand as a trusted authority in enterprise data storage.
• Conduct deep technical discovery sessions to uncover latent customer requirements and translate them into high-confidence solution architectures.
• Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, including scale-out versus scale-up approaches, to match the specific resilience and performance demands of the target enterprise.
• Provide subject matter expertise on modern web architecture patterns, multi-tiered client/server designs, and distributed system operations to ensure feasibility studies are accurate.
• Mentor junior presales and sales engineers on technical best practices, communication strategies, and competitive differentiators for the storage portfolio.
• Act as the primary technical consultant during proof-of-concept and pilot programs, ensuring successful validation of value propositions.

Requirements

• Bring five or more years of hands-on experience shaping technical solutions for enterprise storage, networking, cloud, and software sales environments.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server architectures and modern web architecture patterns that underpin scalable enterprise systems.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of LAMP stacks, scale-out versus scale-up architectural decisions, AWS frameworks, and microservices deployment paradigms.
• Exhibit a proven history of forging new business and converting high-value prospects into committed, long-term clients through technical credibility.
• Master the command of current storage architectures, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, Network Attached Storage, Object Storage Device, and Storage Area Network implementations.
• Apply hands-on experience with Linux operating environments, NFS file systems, and complex distributed network operations to validate solution designs.
• Configure and advise on distributed computing environments, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
• Guide digital transformation initiatives across hybrid landscapes that span on-premises infrastructure, public cloud platforms, provisioning automation, and containerized environments.
• Maintain a working familiarity with VMware virtualization, local area networking technologies, Ethernet standards, TCP/IP protocols, and version control systems represented by git.
