About the role
Everpure is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead continuous integration and test orchestration for our FlashArray and FlashBlade product lines. In this position, you will architect, build, and operate the automation platforms that empower our engineering teams to deliver high-quality software at a consistent pace. Your primary mission is to elevate developer experience by transforming quality checks into automated, data-driven processes. You will use observability and metrics to drive improvements in system reliability, throughput, and feedback speed, directly contributing to the innovation of our engineering organization.
This is a developer-centric role with significant visibility and operational ownership. You will be responsible for designing and constructing the systems that manage code integration and release orchestration. A core focus of this position is shifting quality assurance from manual process to automated service. You will utilize data and detailed observability to identify bottlenecks and continuously enhance the efficiency and stability of our toolchain. Collaboration with engineering teams across the organization is essential to accelerate our innovation cycle.
In this role, you will design and implement CI and test-orchestration services, tools, and pipelines. These systems must provide rapid and reliable feedback to engineers working on FlashArray and FlashBlade. You will build and extend developer-facing automation, including services, command-line interfaces, APIs, and scripts. This work will simplify onboarding, configuration, and debugging of CI and release workflows. You will define and encode quality gates and signals, such as run rates, pass rates, flakiness thresholds, coverage, and escape metrics. This definition will be implemented directly within our CI and release systems.
You will develop and maintain metrics, queries, and dashboards to provide clear visibility into the health of our CI and release processes. This visibility will be used to drive targeted improvements in performance and reliability. Integrating and evolving observability-including metrics, logs, traces, and alerts-for CI and test-orchestration services is a key responsibility. This focus will reduce the time required to detect and resolve incidents. Participation in on-call rotations for CI and test-orchestration infrastructure is required. You will lead incident triage and mitigation efforts and ensure that follow-through on root-cause fixes is completed.
You will lead or contribute to cross-functional projects. These initiatives will aim to improve CI and release quality, developer experience, and overall system reliability. You will enable hardware NPI qualification by building and maintaining testbeds, test plans, and CI workflows. This work ensures the timely validation of new hardware.
The ideal candidate brings a quality-first mindset and strong ownership. You will collaborate effectively across teams and time zones while continuously learning and helping others improve their skills in CI, release, and quality engineering. You will demonstrate 8+ years of experience in software engineering, production engineering, SRE, or DevOps. This experience must include designing, building, and owning backend services or tooling, not just ad-hoc scripting.
You must possess strong software engineering fundamentals and a solid understanding of distributed systems. Your track record should show improvements in reliability, performance, or product quality. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language is required. Examples include Python or Go, along with strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar for automation and diagnostics. Hands-on experience with CI concepts and tooling is essential. This includes pipeline-as-code, job configuration, and managing multi-job CI workflows.
You must have practical database and query skills. Experience using metrics platforms to analyze and improve CI and release processes is necessary. A solid foundation in Linux/Unix fundamentals is required. You must demonstrate the ability to debug issues across operating systems, networks, storage, and applications in production or CI environments. Experience supporting hardware NPI programs is required. This includes test planning, issue triage, and readiness tracking across engineering, technical program management, and laboratory teams.
